Honestly doesn't bother me... Just very happy to be driving a 335i that doesn't have the SE kit.
I'm not entirely sure whether they were on from factory. I think they were installed from factory.

Hi all,

Looking to come back to BMW after 5yrs away in a Saab 9-3, Seat Leon Cupra, Alfa Romeo GT and an Abarth 500 Esseesse. Looking for some German build quality and handling again! I used to have a Z3 2.2 sport which I loved.

Looking for a 320d or 330d m sport saloon and have around £12k to spend. Hoping for one with less than 55k miles.

Weighing up whether to go for a 330d or 320d. What are people's thoughts on a 177bhp 320d and a 330d?

Cheers,

Dave

Hi all

In reply to 'TheNuts' or Dave, definatly go for the 330D, the engine tone is so much nicer than the 320D and is very nippy, i have a 325D myself, my friend has the 320D and his sounds so ropey compared the the straight 6 in the 325 and 330's.

Hope this helped.

Scotty.

Thanks Scotty, what are your thoughts on Auto vs. Manual?

No problems I have never driven an Auto so im going to say go for Manual as i personally think i would miss changing gears and being able to choose what gear you want, when you want it.

I had a brief test drive of the 330d and it most certainly has gobbles of torque! Would be just as quick as a stock 335d with a small tune i think... So its very quick

I think that the car in the link is a little on the pricey side... No iDrive, No Auto gearbox... which all add price...
But looks like a clean example with the mtech kit.

I would definitely go for the 330d so at least you are satisfied with the power... If power doesnt float your boat then the 320d should be fine..

Very clean M Sport there, but i would say it is a little bit pricey for a 56 plate without any leathers or heated seats etc, but on the other hand it does have low milage. If you really like it go view it and haggle down the price or make them a lower offer and see what they say.

Cheers chaps. Just put a deposit down on this one:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

Getting it for £11,600. It's slightly higher mileage but I won't be adding loads on myself so think I can even it out. Saying that, 58k for a 56 isn't high, more average.

Anyone know any good deals for aftermarket warranties? Evans Halshaw want £495 for two years full parts and labour.

Nice, beautiful colour choice same as mine :P looks so good after a good wash/polish. The car has average miles so i wouldnt worry, also i have been using AA Warranty, works out around £28 a month i think. :L lol.

Thanks Scott although having seen the car today ive pulled out. The only to get it at that price was to do a dodgy deal by taking dealer finance and then they would pay me back monthly for 5 months the extra to make the difference.

Car with 2yr warranty with them would have been £12500. Now looking at Wanderson's blue 06 reg which is advertised on here. Only fear is that its a private sale which leaves me wide open if things go wrong. Such as wheel bearings, blown turbos etc etc. Investigating warranties now.

Ahh i see, good decision. To be frank i wouldnt worry too much about private sales 99% of the time they are genuine, just make sure you give the car a good test drive to check things and give it a good visual inspection too. Only saying because i brought mine privately 3 months ago and she is still running sound *touch wood*

Garage List
Talking Hello People

Hi guys,

Just registered and thought I'd better say Hello.

"Hello"

That's the introduction done with I'll crack on and let you all know the script.

I currently drive a 'Slightly' fettled '04' Subaru Impreza STi throwing out around 400BHP or guestimating about 320WHP. As Much as I love this car I've been getting too much attention from our beloved 'Boys in Blue'. Never been caught doing anything just being checked "Randomly". Aye! So random it's becoming business as usual.

Cheers Boys, could you please find it in your heart to possibly use the very sophisticated computer that my hard earned 'Taxes' helped pay for to check my details in future, when your done there please go and solve some crimes if it's not too much trouble!!! (Too Far???)

Anyway, I'm also getting the attention of my 'Better Half', but not in a good way. "It's too loud", "Do you ever Brake for Corners", "Why are you being stopped again" and the best one. "What the f**k is that skanky bitch doing looking over here". I nearly pissed myself

Here she is (the car that is)

So now the time has come to buy something a bit more "Prestigious" to keep everyone happy and possibly get a bit more respect on the road, I honestly think everyone but Scooby and Evo drivers hate me

Having looked around for the last few weeks I've finally decided on a BMW E92 335i. I'll hopefully be getting the best of both worlds, a comfortable cruiser to keep my Better Half happy and the forced induction hooliganism potential that I will forever crave. Maybe if I'm lucky the grannies will stop throwing me dirty looks and the Police might actually get some real work done............ Yeah, whatever!!!

I have already set my sights on one of your members cars which I'll hopefully get a chance to view and test in 3 weeks. It looks like it's in fantastic condition and it's already got all the shiny bolt-ons which saves me breaking out my tools. Here's the link to his classified post.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=565281

I'm really hoping that this turns out great and I buy it otherwise I will have to keep looking and nothing else is floating my boat

Anyway (you now all think I'm a lunatic........ not far off really) I really look forward to getting my hands on one of these cars and picking your brains for any info I can get on them.

Yes I know - - but I've got a few more pictures of the Subaru if anyone wants a look

http://www.e90post.com/forums/album.php?albumid=5331

Thanks for having me guys and look forward to any suggestions / criticism (I'm used to it) you might have for me.

Another newbie to the site.

Recently sold my E46 325i and upgraded to an E92 2007 335i M-Sport.

Looked at a E92 320d and hated it, tried the 325d and liked it but didnt love it and were all at the higher end of what I wanted to spend.

Then found a 335i M-Sport with 41k miles at Bavarian BMW in NI.

Was certainly worth the trip over.

Will post pictures at somepoint.

hi Guys, and Gals?
I'm a fan of all things German, and after having VW's for years, I'm looking at buying a 335i coupe.
I hope to see some of you around the forums! Oh one more thing, can someone enlighten me as to what the abbreviation LCI means?
Thanks Lee.

I was getting lured into the world of high MPG's, test drove a 320D and realised that if I was spending alot of my money on something that is really important to me.....why get something I wouldnt enjoy to save a few £££'s every month.

The 335i is no worse than my old E46 325i for MPG's I dont think.

Exactly! But i am not going to lie, my 335i does cost a lot more than my previous clk 270d.

£240 for 6 months tax... roughly £500 to insure, road tax and bmw extended warranty a month + all the bmw servicing annually... But Everytime i get in my car, i have a huge smile on my face...
