Hate to say this but it seems a little steep to me. Have you guys looked at other providers for auto insurance quotes?

Age 86 and live in Newtown NSW - an M3 would cost me $3287. Need to get in before my 90th birthday or insurance might go up even more. Still, can't take it with you.

The cheapest insurance is when your between 45-55 dependent on underwriter. After that it starts creeping back up.

Too many grannies deciding that the pain when they turn their neck doesn't mean they shouldn't be driving but instead that they don't need to do shoulder checks anymore.. Same goes for the arthritis in their fingers, it means they don't need to indicate either!

Insurance companies try to get us coz we have a more expensive car I reckon. I haven't seen any 335i crash, and I doubt there r many.

I'm 25, '07 335i Coupe,
Premium $1700 pa.
Excess $2200
Car Valuation $60,000 (I brought it down to match the price I paid for it)

This is thru AAMI, best quote I got, second best was NRMA. I have no accidents on my records and this was the rate I got still.

Where in Sydney do you live?

Insurance companies seem to hate turbos. I was looking a quotes for myself (aged 20) for e46 m3's and 335's. It was about 20% cheaper to insure the M3.. Go figure..

NRMA will ensure people interstate mate. I'm 28 but I think the premium has a lot to do with suburb

Hi guys

I'm in Perth with a 2010 325i sedan with M Sports Innovations pack, sun roof, 18" M Sports wheels which is insured for $89,990. I have a $350 excess and it costs me about $1,050 a year through RAC WA.

I think I am getting a good deal based on what some of the rest of you are saying...I may be wrong though.

What do you think....

Hi Rossi,

When I got it 2 months ago, for some reason I could not get a quote online due to bullshit underwriting criteria. Based on the other rates you guys are paying I can see that I am paying far too much.

Do you know if I might be able to refund the remaining period for the insurance?

You are right, I need to try fix it now. Thanks for letting me know.

Cheers,
Alan

I just got my renewal in the mail. I'm listed as a named driver on my mums account for my car and the premium is $1550 with a $1000 excess at a market value of 54k. EHHHHHHH!!

QBE said that as there is a driver under the age of 21 on the account its goes through the roof. Damn straight it does.

I'm in the middle of collecting quotes from elsewhere

Cheers
Dan

Not the case for all insurers but a good tip none the less.
