my DC/NoVa people.. a little off topic but how are you guys doing?

How are things with inauguration weekend? is traffic as bad as they claim to be? we are seeing signs and warning all the way down in virginia beach about inauguration traffic on i-95 and i-66. Did anybody stay out at the bars till 5 AM?

They were starting to close streets from Friday, I believe. My friday evening commute home was a pita...

I have yet to see any big traffic jams yet. As for going to bars in DC, I have heard that many locals have avoided going into DC.

BTW this whole section is one big off topic section.

So far, no probs with traffic. I plan to go to work Monday and Tuesday. We'll see how it is. If I still lived in the city, I would definitely not be driving to work -- all roads closed between my old place and my work.

For real though; good thing Chinese New Year tied in close to inauguration to give me this excuse to fly out.

K St was packed last night. I don't remember much but all I know was there were a lot of cars and a lot of people. It definitely did not feel like a Sunday night.

I figured K St. was going to be packed non stop starting Friday because of all the celebs and media folk wanting to hit up D.C.'s nicer establishments.
