Remember that this is a young company that has been working with continental to learn from but the work is out of Indonesia. Not to knock it but I would say if you are thrashing then keep yourself to manufacturers with a lot more R&D. I will also say that they are expanding by being involved in motorsports but I second the "driving miss daisy" idea stated earlier.
If you just like honing, then burn them away.

Lol. I love seeing BMW owners cheap out on the single most important thing that determines how their car feels to drive. Putting cheap shitty tires on just to save a few bucks and thereby making the car worse than stock is just dumb...

i love when people make statements about things they've never experienced. saying these tires are shitty and cheap just because they arent $200+ a tire is just like saying rpf1 wheels are shitty cause they arent $1000+ a wheel

Does anyone here have pictures of their wheels with these tires and with a meatier fitment? I'm planning on a new set of wheels (18" or 19") in the new year and since reading this review may consider these tires (can't go wrong with that price point). Thanks!

Be careful of these tires. I had two rip at the sidewalls and it wasn't fun. They were great for about the first six months then I took a turn at 30 mph and this happened. Could have been from the size of them 20's but I will never use them again. Yes they were on the recommended rim size.

what I want to know is if you cleaned the inside of the rim for this shot or do you keep them this clean all the time?

Achilles ATR Sport.
I was at Pep Boys today and ran across these tires. The guy there I have befriended over the years said that he didn't know much about them, but as they are an installer for quite a few online sites, these tires show up quite often and are put on all kinds of cars. He said I should look into them. They are cheap and from the past posts they seem to have mostly good reviews. I've already got a set of Firestone Indy's for next year, but thought maybe this find of mine may help someone. Anyone who has them, thoughts? |

I put a set of Archillies Desert Hawk tires on my wife's VW Touareg last year. They were around $70 each vs. the Nitto Motivos I had on there before that were around $210 each (275/45/19).
They weren't a horrible tire.....but at 18,000 miles, they are shot, they just wear way too fast. She got almost 40,000 miles out of the nittos that were on there before. For the prices vs miles.....I'd rather have the nittos. Probably won't buy the Archillies any more.... There is no free lunch....cheap tires don't really save you much in the long run. |
