e90 sedan suspension torque specs

Switching out control arms for m3 versions, replacing shock/struts and springs (Koni Yellow/Eibach Pro), endlinks, and replacing tie rods. Some of these values seem really high for the knuckle connections. Just trying to confirm I have the correct torque specs on all these items before I snap something lol.

FRONT SUSPENSION

Strut top mounting nuts - 34 NM/25 ft lbs

Strut pinch bolt/nut - 81 NM/59 ft lbs

Front control arm to knuckle (tension strut) - 175 NM/129 ft lbs

Front control arm to subframe (tension strut) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs +90°

Rear control arm to knuckle (wishbone strut) - 175 NM/129 ft lbs

Rear control arm to subframe (wishbone) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs +90°

Sway bar endlink to sway bar - 58 NM/42 ft lbs

Sway bar endlink to strut - 58 NM/42 ft lbs

Steering outer tie rod to knuckle - 165 NM/121 ft lbs

Steering inner tie rod to steering rack - 100 NM/73 ft lbs


REAR SUSPENSION

Roll-over arm to subframe (spring/shock seat arm) - 165 NM/121 ft lbs

Roll-over arm to knuckle (spring/shock seat arm) - 165 NM/121 ft lbs

Upper control arm to subframe (wishbone) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs

Upper control arm to knuckle (wishbone) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs +90°

Lower control arm to subframe (guide rod) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs

Lower control arm to knuckle (guide rod) - 100 NM/73 ft lbs +90°

Toe arm to subframe - 100 NM/73 ft lbs

Toe arm to knuckle -100 NM/73 ft lbs

Sway bar endlink to sway bar - 58 NM/42 ft lbs

Sway bar endlink to knuckle - 21 NM/15 ft lbs

Shock bottom nut - 38 NM/28 ft lbs

Shock top nut - 27 NM/20 ft lbs

Bottom shock mount bushing - 60 NM/44 ft lbs

Sorry I can't find my notes on these values offhand, but, I know that some of the settings depend on the grade of fastener. The difference between a grade 8.8 and 10.9 is significant. Try to get hold of a Bentley manual use this site

Thanks for the link!! This is actually where I got all the values from. I did see the two grade bolts have different torque values. Hopefully the bolts have the standard markings so I can tell which grade they are.

Mine always have been marked. Sometimes nuts have the clock face marking instead of a number.

The only values that stick out as being different than what I used are the front arms to knuckle. I had 165Nm/122 ft-lb. which came from the 2006-2010 3 Series Bentley manual. Not a huge difference.
