Cadillac CT6 Priced at $54,490

That is actually quite cheap. I was expecting $65K-70K.

"Old man yelling at the clouds" mode, but is anyone else like me dismayed by all the electronic/LCD displays? I love watching actual dials move (rpm/mph etc.). I get enough of the LCD screens in everything else in life.

Oh well, back to yelling at the clouds I guess.

$54,490 for a RWD 4cyl makes no sense but $56,490 for a 3.6L 6cyl AWD makes sense.

Weird pricing. Good for consumer. Bad for brand image. This is supposed to compete with the A8/7er/S-Class but it's severely under priced (almost $30k less than base 7er). Yes you can option one and up the price to $80k but I'm assuming, and this is applicable to all brands, majority of consumers are going to pick the lowest/cheapest trim.

I don't see that many 750/760i's. It's all 740 xDrive models. I don't see many people opting out a CT6 to max price if they can get one for around 60k.

It's absolutely NOT meant to compete with the 7-Series/S-Class/A8. GM has very specifically said its not, and there's another car coming for that.

I agree, seems odd that the 6 (with 60 hp more) and AWD only adds $2k.

I also don't think it is supposed to compete against the A8 or 7 series but find it odd that your biggest problem with it at this point is it is too cheap. It seems to match up pretty well price wise with the 5 series and without driving or reading any reviews I don't have anything bad to say about it except it isn't a car (or anything in this class) that I would buy.

Many will not like it for one reason or another but it being too cheap won't generally be an issue.

I only mentioned price under the assumption that it was a competitor to the A8/S-Class/7er.

So now you have the CTS and CT6 competing against the A6/E-Class/5er? And people thought what BMW and Mercedes was doing was confusing...

Wait... what BMW does is make a 4-door sedan... then use that chassis as a basis for a 2-door coupe... then take the 2-door coupe chassis and make a 4-door GT hatchback... THAT'S asinine...

Good looking car, but Cadillac has some confusing nomenclature. You would think it would go ATS, CTS, ETS, right? Where the hell does CT6 come from? Do they give this crap any thought at all?

The ATS, CTS, SRX and XTS names are all disappearing.

In the future, the cars will be CTx (CT6, CT8, CT4, etc.)
The SUVs will be XTx (XT5, XT4, etc.). I'd guess "Escalade" will remain?

As said above they are working towards having a system instead of three letters that really don't mean much to anyone and most can't easily figure out which one is biggest and most expensive.

ATS, CTS, ELR (it's not working), XTS. Virtually no logic to it, no one knows the names and nowhere to put the other models.

Long term I think it is a better system, right now it is worse.

Looooove the interior, especially the vinyl wrapped looking wood grain. Stay classy Cadi. Learn how to make a damn interior not be....stupid.

Yeah you're right, but at least the models have distinct differences whether it be an additional door or coupe-like body. What's so different about the CTS and CT6? They're both just regular sedans that are priced to compete with the A6/E-Class/5er.

Is the CT6 going to eventually replace the CTS? Didn't the new CTS just come out not too long ago?

As an ATS owner I can tell you know one knows what an ATS is when I tell them I own one.

Current system doesn't work, CT6 should have been named what, ZTS (above the XTS), then the one above it?

Car that will be smaller than the ATS should have been named?

Whoever decided on the current system is who screwed things up.

Listen, the only thing that sells BMWs to 98% of the people who buy them is the f'n Roundel. These people wouldn't know a Buick, from an Audi, from a Mercedes, from a Cadillac, if the blue and white (faux) propeller badge wasn't on the hood, trunk lid, wheels, and steering wheel cover.
