I'm sure he'll be boosting north of 19 pounds. The Turbo is designed to hold at least 20 pounds to redline.

yea.
although potential of internal is yet to be determined... i wish our engine and tranny is like 2jg-gte (supra motor) and Getrag to hold up high power SOMEHOW!!!
so we don't have to spend money on internals!!!

these oem size turbo upgrade is more for reliability and actual power delivery, rather than #s on dyno... unless you slap in bigger turbo with tune/engine internal to support, yes, you will not see big of gain per dollar. however, with upgraded turbos, you don't have to worry about maxing out your oem turbos, you can push much harder, and you can expect much more potential gain with higher boost and supporting mods. oh yea, and you don't have to worry about wastegate rattle issue and that alone is worth upgrading for me...

if you go for the best bang for your money, go get tune/meth/n2o and call it a day. why spend money on intake, exhaust, IC or DP in the first place?

with that being said, kudos to JP and the tuner who's actually making it happen in REALISTIC time frame...
MUCH FASTER PACE than any other tuners who tried upgrading turbos on N54 platform...
bleh... not even worth replying to.

It's a ZF (GS6-53DZ)... and it's actually the same 6spd from the e60 m5.

what are you "breaking in"? isn't your engine still stock? turbos don't require break in... all they require is some oil in the bearings before engine first start.

Hey JP, you should stick a 'vote' on the beginning of this thread so we can all guess at the WHP gain...
