VMR v710s vs. Avant Garde m310

Has anyone who has seen both the v710s and the m310s in person comment on how they compare visually? They look pretty much identical to me, but I have only seen the pictures posted to these forums and on the sponsors' pages and not in real life. Specifically, is there any difference in spoke thickness and in the concavity of the wheels? Thanks!

No one has seen these two wheels in person and can comment on how they differ in appearance?

Well I think your only way to see the difference between the two is if we post pictures and you look at them. Obviously there is a construction difference, but there is also a price difference between the two wheels. PM me for more info:

Since Jurian has posted the VMR V710 I'll go ahead and post a pic the Avant Garde M310 for you to check out. I've seen both of these setups in person and they look identical in terms of spoke thickness and concavity. The major difference is the way in which the wheels are constructed and manufactured. The Avant Garde M310 is a low pressure cast wheel. Take into consideration also that all of the wheels that come standard from BMW straight from the factory are Low-pressure cast at a minimum. They're actually also the exact same price

1. Forged
2. Flow Form
3. Low pressure / extrusion
4. Gravity

VMR (gravity cast) vs AG (low pressure / extrusion cast)

You choose.

Thanks for the input guys! I knew about the difference in casting methods between the two wheel but just wanted to make sure that the appearance between the wheels were the same.

Visually, they're the same. The finish might be different from each other because they are coming from a different manufacturer.

You still get the great concave styling now in a low-pressure cast offering which helps brings the weight of the wheels down while simultaneously increasing overall wheel strength.

Feel free to shoot over a PM, call, or email me if you have any questions!

As far as looks go its a toss up, both are nice wheels but personally I would go with the AG M310, its stronger and less people are running them.

Both powder-coats are great quality.

We just got in a set of Avant Garde M310's for a 5x112 - VW AWD R32 customer in 18x8/9 stagger.

He opted for the machine face/gunmetal option. Although this finish isn't available for 5x120 PCD, You can check out the finish quality. They are quite the attractive piece!

I setup a thread to see if we can get enough interest to have AG make these wheels. Can't believe they make them for Audi and VW but not for bimmers.

Please vote in this thread.
