Anyone have any experience with "Kero's Auto Brokers"?
I was searching for a car recently & found this 07' 335i with just about every option and the colors I was looking for. But its not from a BMW Dealer and its on the other side of the country. Just curious if anyone had ever done business with this place and any type of reaction. I did a search and found it had pretty decent dealer ratings, but figured I'd ask here first.
here is the auto trader link 07 335i also what do you guys think about buying a vehicle w/o actually seeing/driving it? I know it still has plenty of warranty left in case something is broken, I never usually even think about this, but I really want a fully loaded 335i and want one in my price range so any help would be appreciated, thanks |

You should definitely drive it before.. as for the dealer, I've never heard of them. But the car does look legit.

Its a 2008 with 25k miles? Seems like it may have been a commuter car. I'd definately run a carfax report on it before going any further. You'd still have half the warranty which isn't too bad, but your main concern is to determine if this was a modded car that was driven like someone stole it or a granny car with just a lot of miles. Tough to do when you can't test drive it though..

Someone on this forum recently bought an E92 at Kero's. I had asked him about his experience at the dealership in his thread and he said they were excellent. I've passed their dealership, too, and they seem to have a nice selection of Germans

It is about $400 for a roundtrip ticket from Boston to Seattle (nonstop.) About half that for a one-way (if you buy it and drive it back.) If you are serious about buying it, I wouldn't be worried about the dealer's reputation too much. Call them and tell them you are interested, but want it checked out by a BMW shop (either dealer or indy shop.) I wouldn't mention you are from out of town though.
The price seems incredible given the options. At 25,000 miles in 1 year of ownership, it is certainly a long range commuter. If nothing else, you get a few days in Seattle to check out the sights!

they are ok. they have grocerry right next door which seemed weird to me. one of my friend bought 330i back in the day and he was really happy about it. i think it's more of a broker than a dealer. they have decent selection of european cars and i think if you pay some fee, they will look for one in the states as well...
i just found this link so if you buy the car there it will save you $100 i guess... hahaha. now you owe me beer if that's case... http://www.kerosauto.com/ they are pretty local to me and i think i saw couple of e92 as well... |

I bought my e92 from them and the car is fine (great actually). kero's is pretty flexible on their prices so you should be able to talk them down a little, I talked them down like 2g They definitely know their cars. My father wanted to see what they could give him for his GMC Denali and they measured the gaps between the coors and the body to see if it had been in a collision.

Yeah it was a Yukon Denali XL. I cant remember the millage (not to high?) and it was a 2002. We didn't trade it because the offer was like 6000 we sold it like 5 months ago.

Haha we have the exact same car which is nearing 90k miles. Brotherton Cadillac offered us 7,000 or so while negotiating trade-in for a new Cadillac Escalade ESV. Never went for it, and we forgot about the Escalade due to the current economical conditions.

Anyone have any experience with "Kero's Auto Brokers"?
Hi Higgs,
I live in seattle and bought my BMW from them. I was in the market for a new car and they had the best deal around on my bmw. Since i live here, i had the opportunity to take it for a half day test drive and also took it to a BMW dealership and paid to have the car inspected. They found a few minor things but nothing major. Here's the catch.....the bmw was close to the 50k mile mark so i negotiated that Kero's do the brakes when that time came since they have a bmw guy who works at a dealer and for them part-time. It seemed like a great idea and would save me 2k in brakes. I am now at 49,900 and haven't been able to get them to commit to their original agreement even though it's in writing in the contract. The catch is i have to bring it to them before i hit 50k and since they are stalling me, I have had to stop driving my car. Other than that....there's no problem with the car and I am glad i got it. About that grocery store, it's a foreign store. The owners of Keros are foreign too although i am not sure which country. Their last name is Sharaway. Maybe the grocery store belongs to their family? Might explain it. Hope your search goes well! Let me know if i can help.... |

They're like any other dealer, sell used cars. My family has purchased three cars from them and been happy with all 3 cars. I know one of the owners, Eddie, and he is a stand up guy.

Kero always have some great deal on their used cars, but their customer serive are terrible. And you got to be careful on the missing parts either in the car or outside the car. A buddy of my went checked out a X5 while ago. While he was inspecting the car, he found out the OEM Stero system is gone. The sales didnt even mention anything about it and tried to go over without noticing my freind. Well, my buddy owns a body shop, so he is a pro on it. Later, he figured Kero tried to take out all the OEM parts on their used cars and sell it seperately to make some extra profits. But if you carefully check and ask them to put the missing parts back, then they will negotiate with you. Since their cars are so cheap, so you wouldnt be able to negotiate on the price too much. But Kero is actually pretty well known in the North WA area. Most their main customers are Asian, especially Korean. Caz their shop located in a Korean community area.
PS. My firend did buy the car in the end, but with the deal by placing the OEM Stero back. I think its about 2 yrs now and the car still works out fine. |

^^Johnny, im not sure they pull out OEM parts to try to make profits on them. The problem with used cars is this: Most BMWs come from Manheim from all over the country and when you buy a used car at Manheim you never know what you get. Manheim offers post sale inspection but they check for big items such as frame and stuff like that.

as i understand, they buy lot of high end car from auction in cali and some other states and sell it cheap. i don't think their intention is to part out and make extra cash. they are more of low profit and moving lots of volume, like wall mart (not really but you get the idea).
