MHD flash

Well after all the hype took the plunge and purchased the android MHD flash. I have to say it's very good indeed. Did a couple of writes to test, the initial flash took just over 18 mins, the second 9.
I used Terry's MHD race flash designed to work with the jb4. I will post some logs Asap

How much did it cost? Did you use a BT cable? Or have to buy the other cables? Does it smooth out the jb4?

I purchased a DCAN cable for £33 and the MHD software for £58 so about $130

Already had an Galaxy Tab and OTG cable....

See http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=MHD&page=19

Cheers Russ

I take it that was the license for JB4 owners Russ, does that allow you to download any BB type flash but not the MHD ones for free?

Yes Terry has written a few specific flashes for MHD to take advantage of the additional tables available, all open share and free. However I did my first test with a pre existing Race flash from Terry that I originally flashed using the BT cable.

Can you use the BT cable w/OTG to perform MHD flash? Or do i have to get a Kdcan cable?

I'm all set to carry out the MHD flash on mine this weekend. Do you think it performs any better than the BB flashes?

Ran my car at Santa Pod on saturday. My quickest time is with the stock flash. I was hoping to go faster but with the 25C heat and strong sunshine, the IATs were up to 130F on my first run.
Best I could manage was 12.6 something @ 116mph.

First run was a 13.2!!! @ 114mph.
When IAT got down to 120F, did the 12.6 secs.

I have a FMIC arriving tomorrow.

My tyres are definately the limiting factor holding me back. I'd still recommend the MHD flasher. There is so much you can do with bin files and tuner pro etc.

Plus sounds like having the JB4 control just boost and meth (if you have it) is the best option.
