How are the people there? Border, if I go shopping in the US do they give people hard time compared to Niagara. Thinking of applying for a job there. Hows the crime rate there, what area to avoid if I'm looking for a place/area to live.
If it goes well, then I might do some car part shopping in Windsor.

Thanks for the heads up! I was checking some places in Kijiji and sure enough most of the places are on the west side!

Depending on what you can afford... LaSalle or Tecumseh are your better bets especially if you have a family...
I went to UofW 15years ago.... Haven't been back for many years... Loved the bar scene.... Like can in the summer.... Wonder if Dean Martinis is still in business.. |

The thing is I will just be there "temporary" as I have a place in Waterloo. Most likely I would be only staying there for the week and go home on the weekend.
I notice lots of rental places says "street parking" it seems that they don't have driveways or parking lots there! For sure I will not want to live in a student residential area. How are the girls there?

I just graduated from UoW last fall with my Masters degree in electrical engineering. I love that city. Crime rate is low. Try and avoid west end of the town. Chicks are cute Parties at the clubs are great on Saturdays, as there is lots of crowd from the states. Very quiet and calm place otherwise. Riverside is great! City is kind of dead in summers as most of the students move for summer jobs etc.

... and, people are very cheerful. This is the thing that i hate the most about living in GTA now. People are always in a kind of hurry here! Busy metro life i suppose!

Things i miss most about windsor is the
clean girls (decent not slutty) can/us day fireworks Hungry howie's pizza Dollar cover at bars Studio 54 Riverside drive Being pulled over and handcuffed for the assumption that I stole my car that was in my fathers name and registered in Toronto and wasn't even reported stolen.... At the time, having a gun drawn on me at 19 years of age was shit-bricks scary... And no apology afterwards.... But I love windsor OP, Once you go there and find a girlfriend.... You will never come back ... I wish I stayed after university... |
