I just bought a 2007 335I. I bought it with a factory type warranty that covers me until 120,000 miles. I currently have 73k. I have just finished all of my lighting upgrades. I have Lux H8 led adjustable angel eyes. Weisslicht Led turn signals on the front. GP thunder cornering and fog lights and finally led side marker bulbs. Already came with wheels. I want to do another upgrade soon however I can't decide which I should go for first. I really want an exhaust system but they are really expensive. I like the Remus Race or the BMW Performance. Love the low V-8 type sound. Other options include a body kit or blow-off valve or intercooler or suspension. Very highly considering a JB4 tune. I mean I could do anything. I just want some ideas for what you think would be a good option for me to do next. Keep in mind I'm carrying a warranty. Posting pictures of my car currently as well. Thanks guys. BMW Performance exhaust, jb4, and call it a day. You won't be disappointed

Go for the JB4, forget about the exhaust. The I6 will never sound anything remotely close to a V8. After that, look into getting a better intercooler since you live in a desert climate.

Do you prefer the BMW Performance Exhaust over the Remus Race? Also would I have any warranty issues with the Remus Exhaust if something went wrong?

Looks, get a Mtech Rear, with a nice Diffuser (i cant say any cause its your style), Then the M-Tech looking lip for the E92, i forgot what its called cause i have a E90 so i can careless.. Then do the DIY side skirt diffuser by Sneaky Deeky. and that would do it for looks for the mean time.


Then for performance do : JB4, FMIC, Chargepipe with BOV , Exhaust system(remus is usually on 6 series), Downpipes of course.. all i can think of.


EDIT: Whatever you do, dont ever get vossens unless! you are looking forward to replacing rims every pothole you hit on accident at high speeds... and or getting into a accident... Their rims aren't durable at all do some research before you buy some stuff too, your rims are great, if you look forward to selling them let me know

I have read somewhere that someone had issues with installing the JB4 and not having an aftermarket blow-off valve. Should I install an intake and blow-off valve before the JB4 or will it be fine if I run it in the Auto-tune map? I also want to mention that as of right now this is just my fun daily driver. I am not doing any racing or track time. Would you still recommend an intercooler if I am just using the power occasionally to have fun or show off? I do want to get an exhaust to grab a little bit more attention at Cars and Coffee or any other shows I go to. What do you think?

I really was looking into downpipes because it would give me a richer sound without having to do a full exhaust at the moment. Do all downpipes remove the cat? I don't want to have any issues with smog or registering my car. Like you said I think I will keep my wheels. I do like them a lot. I didn't know that about Vossen's. Thanks. I am pretty new to all of the high tech car info. Just getting into it. Any info in helping me learn will be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, ive been into cars all my life, but when i was 15 1/2 i got my first car that i saved up for and it was a pretty low end car, 2 x 2 300zx, then i hit 16 sold the car for 10 grand, saved up for half a year then got my e46 m3, after that i hit 18 got my 335i , i currently still am 18 so as you see, i havnt been with high end cars either, but when it comes to my car i want to know every single bit of detail of the car, i sat there and did alot of research got to know my car and now i can tell you everything about this car..


And with research if found out, the lip is called a Aero e92 Front Lip, it is very cheap and almost everyone with a e92 has it.

And there are catted downpipes but i really see no point in them.. you only get verrrrry minimal power gains and no sound gains..


What a catless downpipe does is..
1. Eliminates Turbo Lag.
2. Add's a amazing sound to the car.
3. Louder Turbo Spools
4. More Power.

I was going to buy an e46 M3 for much cheaper but I decided this car would be a better daily driver. Will I have any issues with warranty and passing smog with the catless downpipes?

You'll be fine running the stock charge pipe and diverter valves. They hold boost just fine with stock turbos. With the JB4 G4 board, the BMS dual cone intake, and some E85 in the tank I ran a 12.1 in the 1/4 (check the link in my signature). The MPH is low as I was thoroughly heat soaked and the IAT was climbing to over 170* F. So, having a better intercooler will keep your charge air tempts in check on longer/multiple pulls and into the upper RPM band.

I recently upgraded to the new and improved G5 ISO board (the one they currently ship) and the car is just as strong, but smoother. Will be adding an aftermarket intercooler and going back to the track in late January to see what it can do.

As for the E92 Aero lip spoiler, you can see what that looks like by clicking the 1/4 mile time link in my signature as I have the same thing on my car.

Due to the Downpipes being catless, yes you wont pass smog unless you put your stock ones back on.. which is why i suggest you learn how to remove and install it yourself so when it comes to smog time, you know how to do it, instead of going and spending another 150-300 dollars to install it


Or you can buy the Downpipe fix from BMS...

i Suggest you get most of your parts from Burger tuning cause everything they have is quality and well known.

I mean I don't really plan on racing my car as of right now. I can't really afford the upkeep or tires. I want to first upgrade my car completely and then save up some cash for racing. So for right now I am not too worried about the intercooler because I don't think on a few random street pulls my car will have any issues. I just didn't want to have problems with running too much boost on a stock car with a warranty.

Just get a JB4 and save your money for the important stuff (coilovers, M3 suspension kit & Michelin PSS). The N54 sounds great as it is.

Window trim, drop, LCI tails, Mtech front, rear, and sides (NOT a body kit).
Then, you can do JB4, performance spoiler, etc.

I'd go for removing, prepping, painting the silver window trim as well as interior carbon leather first.

Ok I think I am pretty set on the JB4. Any way to get a little more umph out of my exhaust for cheap? I have already done the golf tee mod.

What do you mean by prepping and painting the trim? Like to black or a different color? I want to add some carbon fiber inlays on the steering wheel and the shifter area. They just seem so overpriced. I can get some pretty cool engine mods for the price of some of those carbon pieces.

I can't tell on your E90 but I did it on the E46 330i I just sold. It had stock chrome trim. The bottom window pieces were replaced by black rubber versions (couldn't save the chrome to repaint) and the upper pieces were carefully removed, prepped with adhesive promoter, self etching primer and several coats of the 3M matte black trim paint. It still looked great 5+ years later. Replacement clips needed as well.

Yea that looks great. My girlfriend actually drives an e46 325ci and I love that car. It's why I bought my 335. I think I would paint my trim with plasti dip first just to see if I like it before permanently changing it. I actually like the look of my chrome trim. It is more like a brushed aluminum and it looks really great. I also like the blacked out look however so I would try it but first with plasti dip so I can always go back.
