Is there any interest in Cobb street/dyno tuning in Philly around September? I am looking to get my car pro-tuned by Jake of ProTuning Freaks in September and wanted to see if there was any interest in getting a group-buy discounted rate. Post a reply if you are interested.

From what I have seen, there are great gains to be had on top of the OTS maps and ProTuning Freaks have been doing a great job creating custom maps to take full advantage of the tune.

Interested in Groupbuy:

A GB was already run for ProTuning Freaks on the other site, so I doubt they'd run another one this soon. If you're gonna street tune (which is what I did), make sure you've got some road that isn't heavily policed that'll let you get some quality 3rd gear pulls.

Other than that, you will NOT be disappointed by your tune (check the sig ). Pretty sure he'll be coming up into this area this month, so I'd PM him (or email @ his PTF Email) and let him know you're interested.

Thanks! I have been in touch with Jake and trying to put something together for the month of September. I am trying to get Jake here to tune for folks in the PA/NJ area.

I just made the trip & while it sucked making that ~4 hr drive, it was well worth it. He's got a great spot for street tuning & access to E85 @ a Sunoco Station (makes it easier to blend if you get an E85 Map).

Hey guys -

I have spoken with Moodist and said that if there was enough interest 3-4 cars that I would offer a discount and come up for a Friday evening through saturday evening to do some dyno or street tuning for that area. Over the coming months I will do a few 4-5 hour road trips to catch up with people who want tunes in different areas.

I have spoken with Helix about using their dyno and I have a friend who is very active in the car scene who is from Jersey, went to Villanova, and still is active on teh tristate boards. He gave me a shop to call that he knows the guys there in order to get some good rates to pass on to customers when we go dyno tuning.

I'm gonna be moving to the Phili area in the next weekish & live there until Nov...
A) if someone can recommend some BMW-safe areas to live that'd be great
B) if anyone wants to go for a ride in an FBO N54 that Jake has tuned (for both pump & E85) let me know

Hey Eric, so your movin to the area huh? Are you moving in Philly or the surrounding area? Where are you looking? To be honest, most places in Philly are not great for a nice car to be parked lol. Too many issues. But if your on the outskirts, you have plenty of options. But where do you have in mind? Im about 15 minutes north of philly. So I know the area pretty well. And by the way, Id like a ride in your car

You'll have to come out to the King of Prussia meet (see the thread in this regional section). This past wednesday we raced go karts at the new Speed Raceway in Horsham and had an absolute blast.

BMW-safe areas to live? The main line

(btw subscribed. not sure whether this is entirely necessary without being FBO or needing a special fuel map...)

NOT 100% sure where I'm gonna live. Short version: I'm working on the Romney Campaign & have been assigned to manage some areas from Phili to Allentown, so anywhere not overly expensive but nice + BMW safe would be REALLLY nice. Looks like that also puts me in play for the KOP meet, so I'll def try to make it out to one as soon as I settle in.

John -- Once I'm there, go no problem going for a spin as long as we get to go for a ride in your car after (really wanna see an N54 w/ meth in action). I'm always down for go-karts, so hopefully the weather holds out + stays nice.

I would think gains can be made on any OTS maps, since the maps themselves are very generic and non-aggressive. Perhaps Jake can chime in.

Gains can be made over the OTS Maps on any stage -- From Stage 1 Sport to Stage 2+FMIC. The biggest gains on each stage will obviously be made if you decide to get an E85 Map made, but you'll even notice some nice gains if you just get a Pump Gas made

We can make gains on even stock cars!! The OTS maps leave tons of room for gains.

Depending on the specific date, I might be interested in the dyno & (if necessary) some very minor adjustments to my tune. Keep me updated when something concrete arranged, but add me to the list
