To let her drive, or not?

So I'm going out of town for business and my g/f has asked me to leave her the keys to my 3359 coupe so she "can drive it to school and maybe to some friends house".......

Damit man, what do I do? On 1 hand, she is a great driver, never gotten a ticket in her life, never crashed BUT ON THE OTHER HAND SHE IS STILL A GIRL. They dont see pot holes like we do, they dont know road conditions like us, they just dont.

What do you guys think?

I think people are stupidly sexist around here. So what if shes a girl. Danica Patrick is a girl and I dont see any of us "Amazing" drivers competing against her.

The car is insured, its just a car, and who do you care more about? Your car or your girl?

Does she let you drive her car? Its only fair. Still doesnt matter.

does she want to drive your BMW? or does she want to borrow your car.

What I mean by this is, does she want to borrow your awesome car to show off or does she want to borrow a mode of transportation? Because if one of my freinds or my gf was like "let me borrow your car" I'd probably let them, but if someone was like "holy crap that car is fast, let me drive it" I probably would not let them without me in the car.

I think it is the intention, and not the gender, of the person that you need to worry about. that being said, I am guessing that NO ONE (barring the occasional valet) will drive my car until I put at least a couple thousand miles on it.

just because she is a girl doesnt mean she can drive, sure they might drive slow sometimes or over a pot-hole.. its only a car, just as long as she is a safe driver and she wont kill herself with it, I'd say its a go

Don't do it. Not because she's a girl, I wouldn't lend my car to anyone. Too much potential for sore feelings in the end.

If she's a good driver and you trust her, then let her drive the car.

Actually, I thought the 3359 was some kind of a Ferrari or something. In which case, let her drive the Bimmer but not your Ferrari.

If you trust her, let her borrow it. If you don't, then don't. Simple.

But if the latter then you might reconsider your relationship with her.

wow sounds like true love!

try telling your girl, no you cannot borrow my the car, basically you are saying you do not trust her... see how long it takes before she starts blowing the entire basketball team..

I think if you're basing it on her gender, give me her number, I'll take her out. Seriously. It's the 21st century. I've seen girls that can drive circles around guys here, and they're even more in tune with the cars then the guys.

If she's a good driver, let her drive. It's only a car. Now, if you don't trust her with the much $$$, then don't.

Tell her she can borrow the car if you can put it in the pooper. If she says no, then theres your answer.
