Because I'm a Sad Old Git:

Many moons ago, my other half was given a freebie promo key ring, which I have always admired (1st example of how sad I am), it vaguely resembled a car head gasket.

Despite attempts at bribery, flattery, etc. She would never give it to me (nor the key ring), so finally having threatened to do it for numerous years, I finally got around to making myself one (2nd example of how sad I am).

It is a exact replica of a 335i Head Gasket, (3rd example of how sad I am), and please, no 6-Pot snobbery/elitist comments.

It is the same size as our Key Fobs, made of Stainless Steel, Titanium version next !

I really must get out more, anyway I thought some of you might like to see it, so photos below.

Looks just the thing to put into the front pocket of your jeans and then sit down...

Nice though.

So, I am not alone !

Not planned to go into production, or thought of the cost, it was just a whim, but I suppose it will be a case of the more you make the cheaper they are.

If there was sufficient interest I could look into it.

Not had any mishaps yet...... But there and again the vital bits are gathering dust these days, so wouldn't be a drama for me

You could sell them as "BMW 6 cylinder gasket". No one need know it was just a replica of a 335i. Open the market up to 325i/325d/330i/330d/335i/335d owners

I'd certainly have one, my F30 330d is the first six I've ever had and I love it. And I've got a mate with an E46 M3 who I know would think this was the dog's danglies.

Off you go Merlin me old mate

Well we wouldn't really be buying them Mike, just contributing to your costs for materials and labour which allows you to do us all a favour

I'm sure all those who have expressed an interest would have no objection to a PM spelling out the costs associated with the favour.

Thanks for offering

OK, Since I'm stalking the UK forum anyway... But seriously that is awesome, looks like some sorta Special Agent Key you'd find in a Bond film.

I want one. Very Cool.

OK, will price up some options, have been asked for Titanium version as well, so will sort a price for Stainless, Titanium, Aluminium versions, I hope you lot realise that Stainless & Titanium material is NOT cheap ! Has to be purchased by the sheet, not a lot of point buying a sheet that would make say 50, if you can only sell 10, makes those 10 very expensive.

I will make the effort to sort this, please be patient, I wasn't expecting this level of interest, just thought I would be a "show off"

I might at even chop-off a couple of cylinders, to prove I am not a snob

As I have said in another post, I wasn't expecting this interest, but some additional info.

It is *correct* for N54, N55, N53, and N52N, engines, and less accurately resembles most 6 pot BMW engines, for those who are not as obsessed with accuracy as me.
