Yeah, I noticed that. Seems like she updates every 6 hours (although it has been over 12 since her last update ).

I caught a picture of her leaving Southampton a few days ago. It was dark so not the best picture.

Yeah that looks just like her. As of this morning she is around the -45 parallel - almost to the New World.

BTW what color are you getting?

I got Black Sapphire/Black Dakota/Aluminum trim. Already have a few hundred dollars of detailing supplies bought to keep him in good condition

How long do you think it will take before the car is at the dealership? According to the Port of New York/New Jersey Faust is scheduled to arrive at 8am tomorrow.

It's usually 2-3 days to get through the Vehicle Preparation Center (VPC) in Jersey, then however long to truck it to your dealer. The dealer gets paperwork the day after the car. As an anti-theft measure, the paperwork is shipped separately from the car.

Awesome!

Since it is only a few hour drive from New Jersey to Boston there is a chance the car will be ready before next weekend.

I'm in MA, too. I told my sister that I'm assuming her car gets off the Faust tomorrow (Thu 5/7), gets to the dealer on Tuesday 5/12, paperwork gets to dealer on Wed 5/13, she gets the car Thu or Fri. I'd assume the same for you...so you can plan to spend the weekend of the 16th-17th trying to pack on the miles to get through the breakin.

My VIN did not show up either so I would not be concerned. I think they sometimes use a bill of lading or booking number. We should have our cars VERY soon.

That will look nice. I like the black. I wanted to avoid black or white because of it's susceptability to showing dirt. I also got the black/aluminum interior. I think its a more modern look than the default burl. My dealer had originally miswrote my order for the burl and I made her reorder. She tried unsuccessfully to talk me out of it.

Nice work getting what you want. I sure hope the wait is worth getting exactly what you want. Finding aluminum trim in a 6MT is nearly impossible and those were base requirements for me.

I am looking forward to keeping the car clean. In my opinion, nothing looks better than a clean black car. Although, nothing looks worse than a dirty one

I agree with the black/alum look. I have a 325xi right now with black/burl (or some other wood color). They talked me into saying it was more elegant and in a few weeks I would like it a lot more than aluminum. 3 years later...I want aluminum more than ever.

I agree on that combo, and so do a lot of other people. My E92 was Monaco Blue with the Saddle+Black interior (similar to yours). I won the People's Choice Award for "Best Interior" at the BMW CCA Boston Chapter Concours d'Elegance two weeks before it was totalled.

Hey my car was on the same boat. It just arrived in Rhode Island yesterday. I have to wait a couple weeks to take deliver. I want to finish my lease out on my current car.

Do you love it?!

Hi everyone. Thanks for the active, informative community.

I am happy to say I just ordered an e90 335i in monaco blue with oyster interior. It will have sport, premium, nav, ipod/usb, heated seats, fold-down rear seats, heated steering wheel, and a manual transmission

I just got my production number and went to the first page to start tracking it, but the link to owner's circle is broken, and the 1-800 number says they're closed today. How are you guys tracking your orders online? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Please ignore the above post. I was signed into the BMW website as a visitor and not an owner. Once I added the car, bam, tracking. Unfortunatley, it's "only" on order so far. I hope it updates soon.

How long does it take to paint a car? I have been tracking my car since 07/30 and since then it was in the paint shop. It says completion date (don't know if painting completion or car completion) is 08/25. I am dying to play with the car! I placed the order on like 07/13.
