Iphone 4 music A2DP
I have just got a 320d msport, march 08 with Bluetooth but with no USB port. Is it possible to stream audio using Bluetooth to my idrive (pro). I keep reading threads about the iPhone 4 os 4.01 being A2DP enabled. If not can I retrofit a USB port? I also read something about a work around using the speaker on your voice mail, anyone got a clue?

Could be wrong but I think the only options you have is either to use the aux connection or to retrofit the iPod interface.
Only recently (sept build) e90's have had a the ability to stream audio via Bluetooth, certain options will be needed, USB and prof nav I think?? But do your own research as I ain't no guru! |

Just seen on Internet a mobridge iPod iPhone adaptor that claims to play through the idrive sat nav, has anyone seen or got? How hard Is the install and would it go in the arm rest or glove box?

My understanding of MoBridge is that it's a box of tricks that sits in a remote location in the car - behind the glovebox or in the radio cavity. I'd been watching the development of this on the Saab forums for the older optical connected 9-3 cars but changed to BMW before anyone there had it working successfully.
@ OP : I use the Kensington LiquidAux (non-cradle) in the armrest with the Aux-in connector. The Prof radio allows the aux volume/bass/treble to be adjusted separately from the radio and CD so you can get the levels right. It has a remote which I've fixed to the left of the gearstick so I can change tracks w/o lifting my arm off the rest...! (It just pops out of the supplied steering wheel adapter). It will also shut the iPod down when the key is removed, which is better than most of these type of solutions. It doesn't give track/playlist detail so I leave it on "Shuffle" and adjust my iPod playlists accordingly. Works for me. HTH Steve |

I've got the mobridge. My local indy installed it behind the dash so I have to have my iPhone in the glovebox. Told him I wanted it in the armrest but he didn't do that as the install was a nuisance :-( Saying that, I'm very pleased with it and use the steering wheels controls to change tracks etc for playing music and having it in the dashboard isn't too much hassle. It also charges the iPod/iPhone I don't have idrive and it works really well with the Pro head unit. If you've got iDrive I've heard it works even better but haven't seen that in operation.
