Moving from SE to NW

Hey guys! I have officially accepted a job offer to Everett, WA. The E90post crew has been very small down here and was wondering what the outlook is like in the NW. Anyone from the immediate area recommend any places to settle into? I look foward to meeting some of you.

Nice! Bellevue. Only because I'm biased.

Thanks for your input Dom . I have looked at that possibility, but seems like it may be quite a drive to Everett w/ some traffic, but I have not been up there so I am not sure.

It would be a bit of a drive...I'm sure you'll find a good spot.

Edmonds, Mont Lake Terrace, Bothell, Mill Creek all have some really nice areas. If you haven't found a place yet, let me know, I'll introduce you to a couple of real estate agents who might be able to find you a place.

Congrats on the new job. I'm biased as well cuz I live in Bellevue too. I have family in Woodinville (closer to Everett than Bellevue) and that's a nice area, but I figure that you're single and you would want to be closer to some excitement. You'll prolly be happier along the I-5 instead. I-405 is more family orientated.

Even if you're more americanized, I still think the best Korean restaurants are down in Federal Way. This area is still very lacking....

I would go and rent for the first 6-12 months to see which area you really like before even considering buying something (if that was in the plan somewhere). Other than that....this is a great area to live in - much cooler and comfortable than the SE. *grin* When you moving out to these parts?

If you work in Everett, I recommend staying up north, closer to Mount Lake Terrace, Lynnwood, Mill Creek area. Without traffic, the drive from Seattle to downtown Everett takes like 40-45minutes. With traffic, you might as well stay in town till the traffic dies down I live up on First Hill, the hospital/medical neighborhood of downtown Seattle a few blocks from Capitol Hill, the alternative lifestyle neighborhood of Seattle

awesome, i'm koeran myself. the korean community is based largely around churches. I'm catholic, but if you're protestant, presbytarian or whatever, i can introduce you to some great churches as well. If you're working up north, i'd recommend living in mill creek, lynnwood or even in everett. Mill creek has a great korean community and i'm sure you'll have no trouble finding some friends up here as well. If you want someone to show you around, lmk, i'd be happy to. I'm more americanized than koeran myself, but i also have a comfort level in teh korean community. anyways, i can go on and on about moving to seattle, so if you have any questions at all, lmk!

Tacoma/Federal-way has better Korean food/restaurant but Lynnwood is coming along nicely. As long there is Hmart close by, I am cool.

No I am not Korean, I am an American

If you're looking to find a place within Everett let me know. I can recommend what areas are safer and lower crime and where not to move. Where's the job you took? Boeing contractor?

Thanks man! I have found a place this week in Everett. I am also working for Boeing as well directly. I'll be moving in the 1st week of Sept. See you all around at the car meets.
