status of new york city

How's ny really doing im from houston and will be heading up there in 2 weeks and just wanna know what to expect, you can't always believe whats on the news.

Gasoline shortage, messed up subway services. Clean ups still going on in parts that got hit bad. Also no power or anything in some places.

Thanks, i'll be staying near time square so i'm hoping in 2 weeks most things will be back to normal, i dont see them leave a great city like ny down for to long.

For the most parts everything's back to normal. You can see some flooded abandoned cars in downtown and areas close to East River, other than that it's mostly normal.

That's Manhattan only, only boroughs got fucked badly and it will take years to restore it.

ill be going to Washington, Philadelphia, and wraping up in New York taking my kids on a learning vacation lol, and maybe buying some parts while im in these towns

haha well theatre district didnt lose power in some parts. its not in bad shape. everyting north is working relatively ok. south of times square... not so much. in 2 weeks im sure it'll b a lot better.

mostly back to normal, if anything they will focus on the tourist areas the most anyway so you should be fine.

I work on 48 and 6th, block away from Times Sq. Everything is already back to normal here. A little more cops than usual but they'll be gone soon too.
