Paint on Paint

So, you guys are going to laugh out crazy, and yes I do deserve being laughed on... But None the less, I need help.
The strip on the roof on my E90 where the attachment for the rack goes, had faded. So what I did is that I took the painters tape and masked off the surrounding area of that roof strip, and had news papers covering the roof and the surounding area of the strip. I started spray painting that strip black... I waited for it to dry, when I took all the tape and news paper off (which was also taped) I realized I had like 2" area at two spots open (which by mistake I didn't tape). Now I have little spots of black paint on the roof. Its good that my car is Sprakling Graphite, so you can't really see it, but it's there. My question... How do I take it out? I tried to scrub it off (not too hard) with cleaning products, but it's not coming off.
So, along with the critizism and laughing, if you can also help me out with some real solution, that'll really help me.
Thank you again, and yes if I were you I'd curse and laugh at myself too.

What type of paint did you use? The chemistry of the product is important to know.

Try using detailing clay. It's very good at removing overspray.

If you used just everyday black spray paint, you should be able to just wipe the overspray away with some sort of mild solvent. Alcohol, lacquer thinner, 3M adhesive remover, something of that nature. You might also try a claybar.
Hope this helps some!

Just an fyi - those roof rails pop off with a flat screw driver covered in a cloth in about 90 seconds.

Regarding the overspray, Claymagic's red medium clay will take care of it. I removed an entire front hood's worth on a Mercedes SL the other day using the stuff.

lacquer thinner will take it out. Without harming the paint.
