Need some suggestion for new tire

Is there really a paid reviewer war out there?

When I got to places like tirerack or 1010tires, etc. For each tire's review I read there are some really extreme two sided reviews about wear/noise/handling like they are talking about 2 completely different tires.

I am confused with all these reviews, hopefully I can get some personal experience from those who got these tires in here.

Daily drive 70/30(city/highway) ok road condition not much potholes.

The ones I have considered: (18x8 225/40R18)
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
General G-MAX AS-03

I like the Michelins a lot -- I really can't tell much difference between the Pilot Sport A/S Plus and the Michelin summer tires I used to run on my E36 M3. You'll get at least 50% better wear from the A/S plus, as well.

I had the DWS Conti's on my last car a Subaru Legacy GT for about 40,000 miles. Only complaint was at around 36,000 one of the tires developed a noise that drove me crazy. I never could find what was causing it, I pulled all tires off and no visible damage or wear. May have been a broken belt from hitting a pothole but I could never pinpoint it. So I cant put the blame on the tires.
The tires were quiet and snow performance was ok not great. They were non directional so they can be rotated all around the car.

The three you've selected are all pretty solid, in my opinion. The DWS is the most popular choice among our customers though, and they perform really well. Lots of positive remarks about those tires.

I think I am going to get the Michelin. I got a winter set from them, for 3 year everything seems good.

Thanks for the info.

Michelin makes great tires, can't really go wrong there.

You might want to compare prices first.
