Do you need to pay for jb4 update?

Im new to this so just a quick question.. Can you update jb4 to the newest firmware for free or do you need to pay? And which firmware work for the 335is?

All firmware updates are free. In fact, there is usually a trade-in program when new hardware comes out. For example, currently the JB3 to JB4 upgrade is only $80 if you send the old JB3 back or $100 outright if you want to keep the old unit.

Firmware updates are free, hardware upgrades are not. They're relatively cheap though.

Where can you upgrade it for $80??

Directly through Burger Tuning or any of it's authorized distributors. The only catch is you had to have purchased the old equipment through one of those two avenues, I blelieve.
