Tax Efficient company car

Guys,

I need to get a company car as im starting to do a lot of miles and having to go the company car route.

Trying to find something thats decent to drive, but tax efficient.

I can choose from Audi, BMW, Merc, Lexus, Seat, VW, Volvo or Skoda

Im allowed roughly £400 month from the company, anything i dont use i get back (though taxed).

Had to be new and prefer auto as i do far too many M25 miles and stop start traffc is painful.

Was thinking of a golf 5dr match dsg - where the petrol is more tax efficient then the diesel. Or the new lexus CT ... which is A rated CO2 .. and looks okay i guess.

Thoughts.

Anything that uses the VAG 1.6tdi engine is a good bet as you'll be under the magic 120 level for emissions.

It's a nice engine, no ball of fire but sweet and smooth for a 4 pot diesel.

Take a look at the 520D SE. Guys at work (including Sherekhan from this forum) are finding it works out very cheap in comparison to its peers
