Silver or Gunmetal V710 for Jet Black e92?
What are people's thoughts between silver or gunmetal 18" v710s? I have a jet black 335i coupe that is completely stock. I'm really not a modding kind of guy, so I'm not considering matte black. IMO you almost HAVE to do a lot of stuff to the car to match the look that black wheels provide. I feel like silver is the safer choice but would love to hear members' opinions. If anyone has pics of silver or gunmetal on jet black please let me know! Thanks!

I've got the same ext. color, and I'm leaning towards 19 v710s in gunmetel.
Search "jet black 710s" there is thread showing the silver v710s on a coupe. Good luck!

Hi Guys and hi Coh4777,
Reading this post, i was reminded of a decision i had back at Xmas time last year. I, similar to Coh4777, was not really looking for a modded look just a slight change on the original. Now, i really liked the gunmetal/antracite colour of the E93 M3 alloys particularly the 18" version. This in mind, i had my original 18" 5 spoke alloys, powdercoated in Medium Antracite, which i think sets of the look of the black on black car without being too loud. I hope this helps give a clear visual idea of what black with gunmetal/antracite wheels looks like. Thanks |

Gunmetal! (I know it's "hyper" black.. but it's basically the same color as gunmetal, with a gloss to it) |

I'll go against the grain of this particular thread - and say hypersilver.
Better contrast, cleaner, and classier. Plus the silver will turn into gunmetal in a week after brake dust hits on them. |

trading in my 330 tomorrow on a 335i M-sport
JUST took the silver 710's off it. I am torn now. Keep the silver 710s which I have listed on a feeler right now.. Keep the Msport pack wheels Or paint mine gunmetal/get a new set of 710s in gunmetal. The only issue I have is with the 710's chipping so easy That gunmetal is SICK. |

Wow that picture is SICK! But as sweet as your car looks, it makes me again think that silver may be a better choice since I don't plan on modding my car. I'm starting to think that gunmetal is close enough to black, where it won't look right without some additional changes such as (at the very least) lowering and going with black trim. With silver, I think that I can just put on the wheels and not feel like I need to make any other changes if I don't want to...

The wheels actually are darker than the gunmetal from VMR. My buddy had my 710s powdered coated by a different company here in socal. But you can see more pics in my garage.

I wasn't sure what to go with as well. At 1st i liked black but now i decided that it is too much for me. So im in the same boat as u. Not sure which would look better silver or gun meta? I like both.
