Extended Warranty

Can anyone recommend a good place to get an extended warranty for my car? I'm looking for one where I can take it to the dealership or a reputable shop.

At those prices, not at all worth it imo...better to stick that $$ aside in a separate account as a rainy day fund.

Warning on Extended Warranties

Pay attention to THIS line:
b) The aggregate limit of liability for each Service Contract shall not exceed the retail price of the Vehicle .

What this means is if your car is worth, lets say 10k (and THEY decide what retail value is) if you have repairs that add up over the ENTIRE warranty contract that go over 10k, your warranty is GONE! I had this happen to my Cadillac STS with Warranty Direct and it is a CRAPPY clause that NOT ALL warranties have. You have a AC compressor go bad, maybe some seals on the engine and or a transmission replaced and that retail value can add up QUICK. You also have to keep in mind that EVERY year you have that warranty, your car is worth LESS and there fore you are closer to that warranty expiring.

Read the fine print carefully when you buy!
