If you are looking for a little more exhaust note, this is defn a way to go. I've heard 2 328's w/ muffler delete in person and it sounds good.

on the youtube vids, i think it sounds a bit 'hollow', it doesn't sound like an aftermarket muffler.
imo i would go for an aftermarket muffler, i like the sound better.

i had muffler delete and it sounds real nice... the only way for you to truly know if you'll like it is to hear it in real life.

for me if your not accelerating it is barely more than stock. If you give it gas even a little you hear drone.. same with almost every exhaust really.

For the price sound I give the mod a 10 of 10.

I am looking to do this mod in the coming months, all I see here is talk of 328s, is there any reasons to not do this on a 330? (such as the flap that closes at low speeds/golf tee mod hose) I had the golf tee mod but after a month or so it started acting up, once I undid that mod all was normal again.

Are there any performance gains? I'm assuming the stock muffler itself isn't going to cause too much restriction?

Can this be done to a 325i? I can't stand the car being so quiet, I can't tell what it's up too.

I felt a lost of torque at low rpms. I think its because of less downforce? duno. The car also felt light, and didn't have the grounded feeling it used to have. It did however pulled a little better at high speeds.

It works fine with a 330i. I've had the muffler deleted on mine for over a year now.

There is a reason why some are switching back from muffler delete.

Are people here removing the muffler or the resonator?
Resonator is after the cat, Muffler is under the trunk (is my understanding, anyway). It seems that many people remove the resonator, but state 'muffler'. Curious.
