Expect there will be a lot of demand with the new true open source flash available.

Even at $125 its a bargain for an ECU flash using your lap top.

Fore the cost of a BT cable is pretty much the same for the OS Tablet which I hope it can do exactly the same as the BT Tool.

To be 100% certain I would need one in hand to compare it with the BT tool. Logging support on the OS Tablet hasn't come around yet

BT cable is overpriced. The cost of the cable must be less than $50 so what you are buying essentially is the licenses for the software. The most needed features of the BT software are integrated to tunes for free. I bought a k-line + can cable with similar hardware in the cable and without unnecessary licenses for $40.

Does this K-line cable work with the BT software?

Just go in with a couple BMW buddies on cable. It isn't locked to one car, only one of reasons why it is truly open source.

You can even use a discarded locked cable. Like a 1VIN version that someone used then they sold the car. When the software is released they will probably give you a source for the cables so I would not bother scrambling around just yet for them.

one of the benefits of using a BT cable with an available VIN is the fact you can use the BT client for datalogging.

Shouldn't this thread be in the for sale section as the OP is asking to purchase a cable and not what the cable does?

I have a used 1 VIN but it is locked. If there is any value in it hit me up with offers. Otherwise we offer new ones too.

Do you actually know the cost of the compenents inside of the BT cable or the cost of developing that software? Troll somewhere else, bud.
