the Z3M is still the most beautiful car imo since I last owned one 12 years ago. Regretted selling that every day of my life lol.

Any chance the mz3 is selling? There's also a blue z3 M coupe in hk but because of emissions issues it wont be able to drive till 2018. Let me know if you'll be doing any photo shoots any time soon, it'd be great to have 3 generations of z's in 1 picture.

Such pretty cars. They'd be on my list if only the quality of the interiors were nicer. I sat in a Z4M at the dealership and came away pretty disappointed.

Both cars still look absolutely amazing given their age.

Wow still love the way the old MZ3 looks. I bought it when it first came out in '98. No traction control and I used to drive over the rainy/wet Pali Highway from Kailua to Honolulu and managed not to kill myself

I like the Z3 vert better as well, but I also know that the Z4 is a much better car in every other aspect.

Regardless, the Z4Mcoupe blows both out of the water!

z3 wins as the roadster, but in a hard-top, then the z4.

Is the z3 the s54 motor?
If only it wasnt de-tuned...

Have to disagree with the above comments. I don't care if James Bond drove the Z3, it's still an ugly car. Neither one of these is a beauty but the Z4 is just better in every way. The only roadster I love is the Z8.

'98's represent! Imagine no traction control with twice the power! I have actually been driving the car more and more in the rain, just staying out of the boost.

The Z4 does some things better, but it's, also bigger and a bit more tamed-diluted. There is a rawness that is very enjoyable. There are many E36/7/8 owners who did not jump to the E85/86 when offered the choice. It's not about price either as a last year MZ3 Coupe with an S54 can hit $30k, enough to buy a Z4M

You are 100% in the minority on that. After years of ownership, cars shows, auto-x, getting groceries, I have never had a car that was viewed as "beautiful" by young old, male, female, all kinds-the way the MZ3 has.

This thread is an excuse for me to picture bomb, so please bear with me!

Z4 looks miles better. I think it is one of the best proportioned cars ever made. It still turns my head every time I see one.

To me the Z4 M is the closest BMW has ever come to making a car that exudes character. There is just something about it that I love.

I personally prefer the e86 to the e36/8 clownshoe in terms of looks. The Shoe is an acquired taste.

But with the Roadsters, to me the e36/7 is classic, the lines and proportions. It's like a modern German AC Cobra, and I am not the first to make that comparison.

The e85 Z4, I just don't think it has or will age as well. Hemmings and others called the e36/7/8 Ms future collectibles...I don't know how well the Z4 will age 10-29-30 years from now.
