Thoughts on M6 rims on e90..(pics)

I really want some rims to replace my stocks. I am really picky with this, I guess thats why I've had the car for over 6 months without rims. I want BMW style rims, I don't like the majority of others that are on the market I feel they make the e90 look cheap. I want to stick to 18"-19" type rims with BMW logos, I have a black 330i and the last pic on link below would pretty much sum up my car.

I know all about the poser aspects of this, I can hear it now "you don't have a M6 so why get M6 rims." But like I said I prefer the full BMW look on the rims I want to get. And besided the mass majority of the people would almost never see a $115,000 (M6) on the road, so these rims would be a rare sight.

The look good on the e90, but look amazing on the e46....especially when on a dropped coupe.

I love the look, but be very careful of replicas. Search around on this forum a bit before you buy them. One of our members did so, and apparently the quality was not good, even though they look fine on the net.

Obviously, the real OEM wheels would cost a lot more than $1000, but you get what you pay for.

I like these M6 style rims a lot. Will probably buy one set in 18" size (w black inserts) to my wife's black 325xit.

The manufacturer for these is:

http://www.altwheels.com/

And I found them to be sold here:

http://www.**********s.com/product.a...o%5FType%5F346

However these bozos don't respond to my emails...

Is anyone running these already ?

M6 wheels may look cool, but it would leave alot of open space to see the axle hub?
The question I have in my mind is
1. How would the brakes look, under those wheels?
2. Would they look small and skimpy on those generous wheels/tires?

Well, if go 225/40/18 the overall diameter should be almost the same as the factory 225/45/17 ? I'm also planning to drop the car a little, like 1". This is my wife's daily driver so I need to be conservative...

1 & 2. Yes I have though about it and they will look a little small. One option could be buying used 330i calibers & rotors from someone that went with aftermarket brake upgrade...
