E92 320d ECU mod

Hello.

I have recently changed my oil and the mechanic there said that for 400euros he could program my ECU and deliver +40hp/+15% on torque and better fuel ecomony.

My car has 15800km on it.

Does it really worth it?

dont be silly, in bmw eyes and all the salesman think the cars are tuned to the max when they come out the factory, never heard one asking to add 40hp to one, at that sort of miles maybe it worth taking in the turbos, but i have heard they have gone before 100k without a remap, my advice would be do it,

it's from an official bmw garage (not a bmw dealer). He told me he has already mapped several diesel cars.

What can i exprect from reliability?

I am now changing my oil every 15k km already, and not 25k as stated from bmw just to be sure.

15km is about right. I'd keep to that.

The remap on an ed 320d looks to unleash about 40bhp usually. The only thing though, I'd go to a well known mapper rather than just "a guy who told you he could do it".

Last concern for you, is mapping will invalidate the warranty. Do you want to do that?

Well i 've got only about 7 months on warranty left.

In cyprus we don't have official branches (incl. moding). There are only official distributors.

Can you tell me any brands that do such ecu mods, so that i could search for any distributors on the island?
