where to buy rims
Hi
prob. starting to ask to many questions but very curious as I am now planning to get rims and springs... (springs are temp but if i wait until next year to get the coil overs I'm just going to wait to get the rims too then) I'm hoping to get them locally to avoid duties. i have stock 16" which is really starting to irritate me lol Curious as to which shops you know of have the best prices: Thinking to go with one of the following all in 19's: Diamond Cut Titanium AluFelgen SF71 VMR 718 VMR VB3 Tires are still a question, was thinking to go with a set of handkook tires. car is sapphire black metallic 2008 E90 (4 Door) for the VMR's going with most likely hyper silver. (If anyone has pics please post) and the AluFelgen SF71 obviously going to be the diamond cut Titanium. |

18" BBS RGR in Diamond Black. I shopped around and they were the best quote by far. |

Tires 23
Ask for Billy or Ben, shop around if you find better pricing they will still beat it. Johnson research and performance is a dumb idea, might as well goto performance improvements in that case. Both charge way to high. |

Back in my Tuner days, i use to buy all my tires from Wheels Direct at McCowan and Sheppard. Not sure if they are there anymore but they use to be the cheapest. i Just never trusted them installing them on my car bc they had a bad habit of over tightening bolts.
I know of a few ppl that also bought from Tire23 and only had good things to say about them |

^ they are still there. I was just there last week.
btw, if you get the real brand name wheels, don't ask them to install because they are still using the old crowl bar method to mount the tire & rims, one slip and there goes the expensive wheel. As for JRP - my quote came in about $200 higher(set of 4) than Speedstar. Quoted on 19" BBS CH-R for winter use. |

Personally, I find this place prices to be higher than others. But if you do get the wheels from them, they are still using the old machine / methods of mounting wheels. Alternatively, for VMR wheels, you can also try Gofortires, nice people to deal with. They usually have a once a year special on VMR wheels. If I recalled correctly, they had one back in April of this year. http://www.gofortires.com/ There are also other wheel shops out there carry the VMR wheels, like Simply tires, Tires23, Nextmod. I bought my wheels from Anthony at oem concept in spring. Good to deal with.
If you are in gta the tax saving overrides the shipping cost. And I went for the sf71 in gunmetal diamond cut awesome looking. They are low pressure cast which some other mid- entry level wheels are gravity cast. Check the weight of wheel before you buy.

I buy all my tires from Allen at Simply Tire, really good service and amazing prices.
I have never bought rims, but I am sure his prices will be good. Email is the best way to get ahold of him. http://simplytire.com/ |
