trying to learn traction control

procede v5 rev3, traction threshold set to 40.
under hard acceleration, i hear chirps and traction loss, but the dsc/dtc light never turn on.
is this by design?

when i switch to map 0, the dsc/dtc light turns on, so i know the actual bmw traction control is OK.

isn't procede traction control also work with dsc/dtc ?
on a local track, i even felt my rear wiggles but no dsc/dtc light ever.

anybody understand this phenomenon ?

PROcede traction control and BMW traction control work entirely different. I prefer them all off.

understandably most people probably do. but i'm not an expert driver, i got spun out a couple times at the track, enough to scare me from driving balls out on the street.
so i always have TC on when i'm on the street.
