What's the difference in performance and mpg?
Also how is it different, engine design, software, turbo etc? |

I went from an 184ps E46 330d to a 231ps E91 330d.
I went to a dealer to get a 320d - and test drove that first - I was very impressed at how the E91 320d felt as quick (if not quite as refined) as my old 330d. I then tried a E91 330d and was very impressed at how much extra poke it had over the old 330d. I'd say mpg is slightly better for given performance, but as its a quicker car I find I give it more beans, more often, than the old one so hard to compare and I end doing about the same. On a longer run, cruising at 80, the E91 is better - 43-45mpg easily achiveable. In short, going from a E46 to a E91 330d was in my opinion a massive leap in performance and everything else. |
