This can't be that hard of a job....if you want to get it painted, get a spray paint from a local store and start spraying. If you want it wrapped, buy some vinyl and a heat gun...be more of a man, guys!!! Jk

Glad to have you back Alfred....I guess.
I usually do my own work, but just not sure about vinyl...one of those things, like window tint, that I would pay someone to do. Probably not hard to do, but probably hard to get perfect. |

If anybody in the Denver Boulder area would like their trim blacked out with vinyl, contact me. I am a certified installer. I can black out your exterior trim, wrap your interior trim, or your entire car.

I have a 2008 E90 with chrome window trim -- I did the plasti-dip a few months ago, which turned out okay, but I'd prefer something more permanent. Curious to know what you would charge 4Mula1? Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

A little project I tackled yesterday. It proved to be a pain in the butt. Damn rubber coating on the trim comes off when you don't want it to but when you need it to it's stubborn.
Worn wheel trim in need of a fix. Trim is super easy to remove from the wheel. Removing the rubberized trim coating is a bee atch. This is the pile of coating I ended up with. Sand down and clean the trim. Wrap with some matte black vinyl or whatever color you choose. Reinstall trim. Did a little test with the vinyl I'll be wrapping my car with in the coming weeks. |
