Meet Details

Location: Woodbine & 16th, in front of the SportChek in the plaza on the North East corner (behind Esso).

When: Friday nights between 9:30pm - 11pm. Allows people to head over to the MaxBimmer meets afterwards.

How often: Every 2 weeks

Next meet: TBD next year

Status: Done for the year

What happens at these meets:
- Coffee / Soup / or whatever you want from Timmies or All-Star Wings.
- Meet and chat with other members
- Checking out mods
- Possible other events during the season if I (or any volunteer) is able to pull together the time to organize it

I'm ok with those changes and I think change the weekly meet into bi-weekly is good. Not everyone has stories to talk about every week

Lol, yeah.. as 1lyfe said last year "not enough time to miss each other's cars". Or we could toy around with the idea of just having it once a month. It would still give us about 6 regular local meets during the season on top of the GTA wide ones.

Hey, I think this is a good change. Friday nights / evenings might be a little bit hard with the great patio weather in summer. Bi-weekly is good too.

Any chances for saturday evening meets? lol... I can never make it to any of the meets because they're always on sundays and I have to work

i like the woodbine and 16th location for Friday night. bi-weekly meets sounds pretty good.

Thread has almost 300 views and minimal chime ins. Maybe there just isn't enough interest this year to do regular local meets. I know there are a number of members in the region too (new and old).

Only thing that seems to be agreed upon is a bi-weekly meet but given the low responses so far I think it might be better to do a monthly meet in hopes that more people can come out. Right now it also seems to be in favour of keeping the current location of Woodbine / 16th. The date and time seem to be half and half but I think if we do monthly meets then we might as well keep the Friday nights. That way some people can cruise over to join the larger MaxBimmer meet by Weston and Hwy 7.

What time are the usual friday evening meets? I work at midnight on fridays and I would really like to get in on this.

edit: Nvm I can read, 9 - 9:30. I can def make that. I vote we keep friday lmao.

I like the ideas of "first and last week's ____day" type of meets.
Consistency for absent-minded people like me = consistent attendance.

Lol yeah maybe that's it. No urge to attend meets when they step outside and it's still cold.

Yeah I thought about that but then this is meant to be a regular meet so not sure we'll be taking photos all the time (can save those for the bigger GTA wide meets). Rather pick a time when more people can make it out. Right now it seems like Friday nights / Saturday afternoons. Also this year I think we'll try to do a bit more than just the parking lot meet. Perhaps take advantage of some of that patio weather as noted above. Wanted to last year as well but never got the time and we started the regular meets late in the season.

Hmm... that is a good suggestion. Maybe we'll do it 1st and 15th when people get paid and then get tempted by mods they see at the meet

It does bring a bit of a dilemma..pepep can't do Sundays but then you're Havok and there ain't no meet like a Havok meet haha.
