Update - I really wanted a cold air intake, but after looking at different versions, I decided I didn't want to fork out loads of cash (minimum £400), or have any issues with my insurance company. So I've ordered a standard replacement K&N drop in filter... and some MFD air scoops instead (all for less than £100) !

I think I've been bitten my the minor modding bug.

style 230 on E90 335i sport

I love the look of the 19” 230 style on the E90!

I'm thinking on buying a used set of 230 wheels from guy with a 335i coupe, any recommendation?

I have a 2007 E90 335i with sport package, would the offset work?... given the suspension is a tad lower on the sport, would it rub anywhere?

Thanks in advance for the comments…

e-fer - you will have no rubbing issues, they are made for our car. Just check very carefully for any hairline cracks and then keep checking the pressure regularly. Mine were from a 2yr old E92 and in mint condition, but I told the guy I would keep them in my garage for one week with correct pressure in and if they lost pressure I wanted my money back and he agreed, but haven't had any problems.

Tunna - not 100% but pretty sure you have got a flap in your exhaust, look in the pipe and see if you can see it, then do a search for golf tee mod, and you will find several methods, but easiest is just unclip the connector in the boot. 2 sec job and no problems or errors !

Will obviously has too much time on his hands to be taking pics like that !

I had 17" rims with Continental RFT and now have 19" rims with Bridgestone RFT.

I feared the ride quality on 19" rims would be too harsh for my liking and so was considering 18" wheels. I got my wheels and tyres second hand so didn't choose the RFT tyres !!! Yes you can feel a little difference, slightly harder ride but not too bad - wife hasn't noticed any difference !

I do find myself avoiding pot holes a bit more as I don't want to crack the rims, especially since the recent bad whether here in UK. I hit one pretty hard last week, but no damage and no loss of pressure, so overall am very happy I went with 19s rather than 18s.

I looked in to this quite abit before I made my mind up - a few forum members said ride quality from 17 with RFT, to 19 with NON-RFT was even better. So deffo get 19's but go for Non Run Flats if you can.

Cool wheels on your car, would they go well on a pre LCi e90 with standard suspension with no need for spacers et al?

Yeah the 355's look cool too.
Don't really need spacers, but would help the wheels pop out a little more - eventually I would like to get some 12mm spacers in the rear.
You would imagine the wheels would be easy to clean... however because you can see behind the spokes, I find myself having to get behind the spokes and clean them on the inside too !!!
