06 E90 audio upgrade

I've been researching for a month and am getting ready to install new fronts ,amp and dsp. I have theHIfi system currently. I found alot of answers on the site and have dealt with alot excellent members willing to help.

I'm putting in CDT cl42's in the front.
Jehnert 200xe under the seats
a DQX I had from my old car
and a JL xd600/6

I plan on running new speaker cables for the Jehnerts and reusing the oem wires for the fronts.

I've read on here that the oem tweeters have a cap attached to them so once I remove them and replace with the CDT's all I have to do is wire the tweets and the mids to the xover. I'm going to then tap into the oem wire in the doors that goes into the oem amp in the trunk and wire that to the amp.

Are these the right wires to tap into at the oem amp:

FRONT LEFT
Blue/White +
Blue/Brown -
FRONT RIGHT
Blue/Black +
Blue/Brown -

or if theres aneasier way to do this I'm all ears.

I would buy the factory connectors

I would buy the factory connectors for the line in and assuming you have a crossover mounted in the door do a molex connector to the tweeters.
When you open the door panels it will be obvious which connectors to use.
Why are you running new speaker cables for the Jehnerts its not really necessary. I guess if you believe in the Monster Cable theory of low resistance wires it makes some sense.

I would duplicate this to make things easy

Thats a well detailed write up! Is that your install?

I havent opened the doors yet so I'm not sure what the factory connectors look like. But I assume you mean use the connectors to connect the oem wire to the crossover line in right? I'll try to see if I get a part number for that. Tell me more about this molex connector for the tweeters.

Are you saying I could tap at oem amp for the Jehnerts too by using:

SUB LEFT
Red/White +
Brown/Yellow -
SUB RIGHT
Red/Blue +
Brown/White -

I just assumed the oem wire wouldnt take the higher wattage from the JL amp? I'm glad to hear this isnt the case.

How did you go about tapping all the speaker wires at oem amp? Cut and splice, ttaps?

I advise you to use a Technic Harness.

I advise you to use a Technic Harness.
If you do that you won't have to cut or splice any wires, at least for the
amp. It comes with a connector that fits right into the OEM wire harness .
If you notice there is a lever on the connector going into the amp
you just throw it and everything disconnects.
You can see picture of it in one of the first photos .
(amp with technic harness white connector)
I believe he can also supply the factory connectors
for the speaker or at least give you the part numbers.
Also he now sells speaker ring adapters and I say some other ones for sale on one of these postings today that are metal.
Molex connectors are a pretty standard connector you can
pick up at most electronic stores. They are mail and female crimp pins
that go into a plastic housing.
As far as the wiring goes I have been told 150 watt is
the limit from Technic I believe. So unless you are bridging the underseats it won't be a problem. Actually some that have bridged have burned out the speakers
I don't know if they were Jehnerts but I wouldn't want to risk burning those . My Jehnerts have been running for a year with one channel each from and xd 600/6 with no
problems.
If your using your DQXI I hope it takes balanced diff outputs from the radio.
