Is 335xi same as 335i?

Does anyone know if the 335xi uses the same rear diff as the 335i? Because I found a 6 speed 335xi being parted out with production date of 02/2007. (which means it would have a bolted ring gear right?) Anyways, if anyone knows if they fit into a 335i, that would be much appreciated.

Physically they are probably the same but the ratio is probably different. Doesn't really matter if you put a AWD diff on RWD but if you don't match the front and rear diff ratios on AWD, you will mess it up

If you put taller gearing into RWD, you may lose performance. But if you put in short gearing, it will improve performance but decrease fuel economy a bit

Its a manual 07 335xi so it should have a 3.08 final drive which is the same as my 07 335i.

Heres a little update: The vin number in the listing on ebay had a production date of 02/2007, but the diff is actually out of a 03/2007 car so its a welded ring gear. SO YEAH I now get to pay to have this thing shipped back across the country.
