Anyone heard this before.....
I'm gunna 'pull the pin' on an exhaust this week. Whilst it'll be a couple of weeks for shipping/ fitting etc etc; I thought I'd take a wee video of the car stock.
The car was reasonably warm; it definitely was not stone cold. Have a listen.... the 2nd and 3rd 'stabs' at the gas produced the really wheezy, muffled sound and the car wouldn’t go beyond (about) 2,750rpm. As you can see the next one it cleared and I drove off and everything seemed fine. After 6 weeks of trawling this forum, I haven't seen this yet (admittedly I wasn't searching for wheezy). [u2b]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XVd_dEZdPFY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XVd_dEZdPFY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>[/u2b] Anyone got any thoughts?? FWIW, the car has 750ks on it! Cheers Thommo Last edited by Ha66is; 01-24-2010 at 03:36 AM.. |

That doesn't sound right. Mine never did that at all, always had the aggressive progression. Might want to call into service and let them explain.

In P mine won't rev over 3k.
In N it will but not always. I put it down to the DCT. |

I think JP might be onto something........ If you try to 'crack it' too soon after start-up (warm, haven't tried cold yet) in either 'P' or 'N' it seems to take a few seconds to 'sort its shit out'; I took another video with my new exhaust (will post seperately) and it did it again! |

I haven't actually been able to get it to work properly. The manual states that you need to disengage DTC, put it in sport 'S' mode, then put your foot on the brake and floor the throttle past the resistance point. I didn't go past the resistance point so it would rev to about 4,000 then when you take your foot off the brake it takes off. On the UK forum they have managed to get it to launch at higher revs. A bit of fun, but not as much as a manual ;-) |
