Rahway, NJ. Literally right next to Bell Mitsubishi. Tow truck finally came after being stranded for 12 hours in total. (Pushed the car into the parking lot. Destroyed my boots in doing so lol) These cars are heavy when pushing backwards.

Just re-read the thread & saw what you guys were suggesting. I was wondering what cable. But I'm going in tomorrow so I'll ask about it. Wasn't there a recall on the battery cable behind the glove box on these cars?

Speedbuggy provided the PDF about the cable recall...

"SITUATION The vehicle electrical system fails completely and one or more of the following faults may occur:
 The vehicle fails to start.
 The central locking system fails to operate with the remote key.
 The key cannot be inserted into the key slot.
 Communication to the vehicle is not possible using ISTA (Integrated Technical Service Application)."

"CAUSE Over time, the positive battery cable connection at the front power distribution box loses connection."

"PROCEDURE The situation described in this Service Information can also be attributed to a discharged battery. Before proceeding with this procedure, check that the battery is in operating condition by using the BMW battery tester."

Just to update, BMW replaced the engine (had to pay 7K) back in June 2015. My car now needs a new transmission.
