How to install the M Sport Footrest and the Stainless Steel Gas Pedal

Anyone know how? Of course, BMW doesn't give you instructions when you buy these accessories. I'm guessing that the footrest replaces (rather than overlays) the existing footrest, but I don't know how to remove it. And how does the new footrest mount onto the car? Mine dodn't come with any hardware, so I'm guessing it just snaps into place.

The gas pedal is a module that replaces the existing gas pedal module. My question is: do you have to disconnect the battery before connecting the new gas pedal module? Thanks.
