Sound system upgrade

I've had my E90 for about 6 months now. It has the standard base sound system in it which isn't great. I need more bass and volume.

It seems a popular upgrade is the Alpine system but then I have read people complaining about the bass with this system too??

I was thinking of going with the Alpine system but with improved under seat subs??

In terms of install the amp. Are there channels in the car that you can run the cables down to get to the subs and door speakers?

If you go for alpine, it is plug and play.
If you go for aftermarket then you will require harness to have rca out and amp input to speakers.
