You can also brake boost off the line. 2k rpm and hold with brakes...Terry can get 9psi off the line? Not sure I'd do that with my auto

I did it all day long at Santa Pod - I don't think it added much to my times though.

9 psi once, then pop!

That's alot of power to be working against the torque converter I bet.

Ok call it what you like, to me brake boosting is when turbos are under load as in left foot braking into a corner whilst keeping the accelerator on, or a rolling start.
I can't work out how to post a YouTube vid on here, but there's a couple of my starts when my car was stock at 2014 bmw festival if anyone wants to see how it's done lol.google YouTube Katg077.

You may have misunderstood me. BMW owners do brake boost from a roll as well. It's just building the boost with the throttle while holding the car back on the brake. In fact the JB4 owner has created a a special feature called anti-lag (also seen on other cars) that quickly fools the car into thinking the temp is -32F so that the timing goes really advanced and the boost builds up super fast. I believe it's setup so you hold a button and then releasing the button nearly instantly boosts the car.

I still can't do it!! In between the u2b I I did the https etc etc & then Katg077 Santa pod BMW festival 2014, have tried various ways of typing it in & all I get is a error message.
Grrr frustrating!!!

It really is not looking good and I've been desperate to go for ages

I'll be watching the forecast before bed as well. It's PITA to drive 4 to 5 hrs round trip and then not to get a proper day of it. Even to have no run at all.

Yep, I think even if it's not wet tomorrow the track will be a bit green, it's best when the weather has been dry for e few days before.
it may be interesting to see how are times & speeds compare with the different mod paths we have gone down.
I can do pretty much any Saturday.
