Hey guys, I am getting some misfire codes and need some help.

Story: Had car tuned for about 6 months now, it misfired 2 months after and new spark plugs fixed the issue. Now I am getting several codes, do you guys think I should get all the coil packs and injectors replaced? The car pulls fine, but under WOT it starts bogging and the check light =[


I have an appt for a downpipe install @ akm and would def. want this fixed before I get it installed.

Any help would really be appreciated, also is it really that hard to code these injectors ( id like to do it myself)

If the problem can be something other than coil packs or injectors than honestly i am done with tuning this car and will just ride stock. Starting to outweigh the benefits of the smile on my face / passengers when car is running and boosting strong, to the cons of dealing with this b@RFsh$t

It's not the injectors and it wasn't the spark plugs.
It's the coilpacks. Always is. Replace them.

And your oil level sensor is failing. It will fail fully and you will have no idea of your oil level. It will tell you it's low when it's not.
189$ on ecs and 47 for coil packs.

Order a few packs and the oil level sensor.
Ull be good

My problem was coming from the decoupling element being missing on injector 3.
Try swapping the coils and injectors to see if the misfire follows, you will see where is the problem coming from. I know how frustrating can be with those misfire. I was fighting a misfire on cylinder 3 for a while, ended up changing the plug, coil and injector for cylinder 3 but my injector was missing the decoupling element and was still creating misfires.. Contact the member e90ish, I got coils for $30 and injectors for $60 from him.
Just spend an hour swapping coils and injectors and see where the misfire goes. Take notes of every change and result so you can keep track of what you have done

like member stated above the coils may be the main culprit, so i will just order a set of 6 and replace em all, car is @40k already anyway and with the injectors dont they have to be coded if swapped out?

Fuel Injectors need to be coded. Spark Plugs (usually need to be changed every 20-25k) and Ignition Coils (usually every 35-40k) are both direct swaps. I personally believe in changing all 6 plugs/coils because when 1 fails, the other ones are going to follow soon after.

Makes no sense to replace all coil packs. They don't fail together and they are supposed to last until 100k.
Replace what's needed not what might break.
You might as well replace the whole car on that logic. -.-

It's been 40k miles on my original coils, so seems logical to replace all off them now

btw i ended up replacing all 6 coils, didn't feel like playing the guessing game and now the car is boosting and running like a champ!

which coils u used? how much they cost?

oem coils from ebay, i think 180-200 for all 6
