M57 Removed intake manifold now in trouble - vibration / rough idle
I've removed the intake and reinstalled it after cleaning. Torqued the intake to spec: m6 bolts - 10Nm, m7 nuts - 15nm. Engine is stock with DPF and swirl flaps in place.
Immediately after startup I've noticed increased engine cover vibration - retighten slightly intake bolts and nuts but the issue persists. On cold start I'm feeling vibration while in driver's seat with very intermittent jump in RPM. Apart from that no issues and no error codes. I wonder where I've messed up - I guess it's a leak either in intake manifold or vacuum system (engine mounts). Thanks for any ideas / suggestions. |

You probably have a vac line stuck under the intake manifold. Happens often if you aren't paying attention. Take it off again and make sure.

Found this loose connection - pic attached. Pretty sure that's vacuum line for engine mounts. |

For the reason you show in the picture, I leave the MAP sensor inserted into that grommet and disconnect the harness side. I pull intake with MAP left in place. My motto is minimize the stress on something known to break.
Were you able to source another grommet? |

Sourcing part was easy, no issues here. Still getting intermittent vibration, rpm jumps .. so, not fixed, yet. |
