Best Tires Size for 16'' Wheels ?

It's time to get new shoes,, actually this is my first time buying tires, so have no idea what to buy ? after few hours of reading, i know the normal size for my wheels are 205/55R 16, but a lot of people are recommending 50R or 45R, lower profile look..

So which ones should i get, im sure i will get good brands like Michelin, Continental or GoodYear, but still deciding about the measure... my ride is a 06 E90

205/55R16 is the optimum size if you are sticking with the OEM 16" wheels.

But do you want Summer or All Season, Performance or Touring, Run-Flat or non RFT?

You can find a wealth of info on the Tire Rack website.

It will make the car lower but it won't fill the wheel gap as well, just something to consider.

Another possibility is 225/50R16 but unless you are hauling heavy loads, I fail to see any advantage.

Here's what's available in your OEM size:

I'd go with the Conti DW.
