Cpt. Slow wants to know more about this tri-turbo. Anyone with links/pics to how this engine is designed? All I can find is this "The innovative arrangement will reportedly include two conventional spools powered off exhaust gases and a third electric turbocharger. "....

Haven't seen anything yet. I think it may have just got finalized as the engine of choice, so may be a couple of weeks or more

We ended up finishing 4th out of 55 for the National Championship event.

I took a pretty hard hit to the left side Saturday @ 10:50pm ( 10 minutes before day 1 ended ) ... was able to finish a few laps at 50% pace and then after three hours of work (5am to 9am) Sunday morning we correced the huge dent, Camber, Toe, and etc we were able to go back out at 100%. The car still has some alignment issues but we needed a rack to sort those out.

Anyway... we fought hard all day Sunday, clawing from 11th to 3rd...then after a stop the E36 took it back so we battled hard for the last 2 hours with the 3rd place E36 BMW on the oval... for only both of us to have a belt snap in our tires at the exact same lap. both cars came into pits, and the BMW team was better prepared and beat us out of the pits to take 3rd. On our last lap we had another hub on our Honda shear apart and leave our car 1/2 a lap from the checkered flag. This is racing and hopefully next year we can have better luck, and hope that these race orginizaers are better at knowing what a $500 car is and isn't...

One race left for our Endurance Race season. Our last race is in Chicago at Autobhan.

Our 4th place trophy:

No way an E92 could make it at an endurance race with us amatures, we need a dipstick at least.

Ru what did you get? 335i, xi, is or d?

The thing that kills me about that CLK is the ugly ass MB steering wheel. It looks like the one in my mom 20 year old 500SL

Really respectable showing guys!!!
This is the main reason that I got out of "racing". I would show up in a $5,000 CRX and the next guy would have $22,000 in his engine. Racing IS cheating and that is a fact! And remember that Honda hubs are only good for 20 to 25 hours on track. At least that is what the Honda engineers used to tell us.
