Thanks for chiming in, Steve. Important to note we also could not recreate the 30FF underboost code off-dyno.

Guys, that doesn't sound like my problem at all. I got a 4x4 code on the dash that seems like my car thinks the front wheels were moving much too fast for the back ones or vice versa. I'm thinking it's the servo motor in the transfer case, but who knows, and I don't have $750 to replace something that isn't happening unless on a dyno anyway.

I understand. That's why I clarified above that his problem wasn't drivetrain related once you explained specifically what yours was.

i think he chimed in simply to address Chris' claim that there had been no previous XI problems on the dyno.

thank you, sir!

has certainly been a long (read: expensive and often frustrating) time in the making to get the car where it is now!

Ok I've been on this forum far too much today LOL. Guy at work who's pretty knowledgeable was noticing how different my three pulls look. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Maybe the boost was varying between runs? I didn't data log; I will do so soon. Just wanted to see if anybody had any thoughts on it...

lol I know the feeling... I'm trolling via iPhone as I'm finishing up changing my oil...

I'd have expected the opposite as far as results go. Usually as the motor heatsoaks, power decreases between pulls. Both TQ and HP seemed to consistently increase between runs. I don't know much about Procede tuned cars so maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in!

What map were you on? Could be your car was still adjusting if you just changed maps.

Zach, what I claimed was that there were no other "BMW's having AWD issues on our dyno" and this was absolutely the first. There have obviously been issues on our dyno related to BMW's, including the 335xi on the Audi Dyno day. Joe was driving the car that day, and I was sitting passenger, the car continued to throw a Fuel Pump error code (Which I believe was the 2AFF Fuel Pump Plausibility). Along with the 4x4 Code we were getting, we had two other cars with misfire issues, one had just come from the dealer directly to the dyno day, and the other was having issues driving up to the dyno day, but no misfires during the dyno pulls.

Positive Note: It sounds like the dyno day was a great day, unfortunately I got called into work so I was not able to put my car back on your rollers again. (I have been dyno'd there with each stage of my car to properly judge the gains) I look forward to the next one you guys hold!
It was a good day, we had a lot of fun!

Dyno day

Hey Chris thanks for having the event, and running my girls car. Man wish I could of been there with my n54.
As for this yahoo who seems to love bashing people and running his mouth on shit, get lost stop trying to be such a know it all. Chris is an awsome guy, tuner. If he wasn't trying to promote his product COBB he wouldn't be a good business man. Stop hating and get lost!

As per numbers My girls car put down 325hp and 379ft on jb4 93octane n55. Again Chris thanks for having the event for us bimmer guys. Let me know when the n55 software is ready to be played with, got the car for you to test on and compare.

Yikes man... I don't think ZTZ was trying to bash anyone or be a know-it-all... he's just sharing his observation. It is what it is...

Hmm... mine made more power on the 2nd run, too... maybe if I did a 3rd run it would have been even better. However, I had just changed maps before my dyno runs so... maybe my ECU was adapting. Not sure what the issue was with Sickem's...

Steve, glad you didn't do a 3rd run...you'd have kicked my butt even more LOL. I'll log some pulls and see if there are any issues. Was a pleasure meeting you and your lady friend!

No problem, sorry you couldn't make it out!

This is forum, take the good with the bad, people have opinions, and that's the beauty of a public venue like this. Apparently I missed a whole lot of "chat" yesterday and today!
