Happened at the Sunset Mall parking lot 4th floor between 12:20-4:30 today 9/25. Filed a police report and security will check cameras but I doubt anything positive will come out from this. Therefore, looking to see if anyone in South FL has one for sale or maybe I'll just find my stolen one on CL lol.

I'll contact the PD by Wednesday and see if they have seen any footage from the parking garage. I know I won't get the spoiler back but if they can get a plate #, I'll be happy. And yeah, I never thought it would happen to me.

What we need is that technology where if someone try's to touch your car they get electrocuted like in Goldeneye 007. I would pay 4 that!! People who steal are so lame . I mean really... Idiots...

Not to sound like a dick but chances are your police report got put on the side on someone's desk. Might of possibly been put in the trash as well. It's just a spoiler and to them it's nothing worth their time.

A few years back my srt4 got broken into while at a auto body shop. Has cameras and all.
Stole cf hood, cf trunk, subs, wheels, radio, amp. I filed a police report and waited 6 months nothing came up. Saw the camera footage and all but nothing happened. When I gave them the car to repair, (got side swept so only passanger side doors needs repair) I signed a paper saying I'm authorizing repair and they are not held responsible for theft, damage and such while on the premises..

I'm thinking about getting a dash cam. I'm such a noob when it comes to GoPro and such so I'll have to seek advise from the better 1/2 but yeah that would be cool.

I completely agree with you and expecting nothing out of this. If there is footage of a plate # and they press charges, that would be great. However, I am kind of enjoying the spoiler less look for a change so I'll see if I'll get another one (found one at esc tuning for $179 shipped), leave it alone or go and get a CF CSL trunk but that'll take two months to be assembled and shipped?

FTR, it took 2 hours for me, my wife, step daughter and my cousins to remove all the adhesive. What a PITA but there is still a minor outline that I'll have to have it polished or whatever but it doesn't bother me. Funny as soon as I saw the spoiler gone I immediately looked over the whole car to make sure nothing else was stolen:

BMW wheel valve stem caps
BMWCCA USA map logi on my front grill
License plate

Overall, thankful that the guy was at least kind enough to not scratch the paint on the trunk.
