Cross country trip - hot spots to visit??

I'm currently trying to plan out my trip cross country from Socal to NY in my E90.

Does anybody have any recommendations of some cool hot spots to check out along the road trip? Vegas will definitely be one of them and I have to find a wafflehouse along the way. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions! Thanks eevrybody!

Got AAA? They can help you plan it out and know all the hot spots, and even some not so hot spots.

If it's just a tour and not a race to get there, when you're driving just take a turn if there is a sign that says something interesting. Those are usually the most fun.

Wow, that sounds fun. I hope you travel in the late summer time or early fall, since it would be cooler. Otherwise everywhere you go in the middle will be hot and humid. If you plan to take the northern route, to thru Yellowstone, across to Indiana, Illinois, western Penn...those areas are pretty nice to drive thru or visit. I drove from Rhode Island to San Diego once, and took that route in July 98. It was very nice, except for the heat and humidity.

Cheers!

You gotta try the "Bunny Ranch" in Nevada. Report back with pictures please.

Wow, thank you. Some of those definitely sound worthy of a stop.

Hahaha, my mother will be in the car so I think this would be out of the question. LOL, good suggestion though.

AAA is a great idea. I will stop by there this weekend.
